There are five superior rooms that directly overlook the beautiful Loch Awe. Portsonachan Hotel is in the area of Clan Campbell stronghold of Kilchurn Castle which stands at the north eastern end of Loch Awe. The location of the hotel offers glorious views of the loch and the mighty Ben Cruachan. Other tourist attraction include Inverarary Castle, Inverarary Jail, St Conan's Kirk, Inverawe Fisheries.  The Portsonachan hotel conservatory offers a truly spectacular view of the east side and northern end of the loch. From the conservatory you can see Ben Cruchan, also called the Hollow Mountain, due to the hydro electric dam.
